Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A member of the revenue cycle process, the Coordinating Manager A is responsible for oversight of cash management operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who understands the flow of Patient Accounts, time-sensitive and financial demands of fullservice health care facility. The employee will provide necessary reports as requested by Patient Accounts Director and/or managers and have the ability to supervise staff and assign tasks related to Finance and Patient Accounts workflow.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision for the Cash Posting Unit, Billing Inquiry Unit, and Cashier/ Patient Property Office
  • Review EPIC dashboards, and reports daily in support of departmental goals
  • Prepare Inpatient and Outpatient Revenue Reports
  • Coordinating the Collection Agency Process, and Invoices
  • Provide supervision for the Patient Accounts Audit process
  • Create, and assess, staff competencies through the Revenue Cycle process to address staff development
  • Adheres to new Finance/ Revenue Cycle procedures.
  • Communicating with managers to identify training needs with-in the Revenue Cycle and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals.
  • Peoplesoft Requisitioner for Patient Accounts and Cash Management departments
  • Completion of periodic management-designated projects.
  • Carries out all managerial directives, as outlined during internal desk audits / account reviews, within an acceptable or provided timeframe.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures, as outlined in the requirements of the department, corporate guidelines or guidelines of other agencies.
  • Be responsible for enhancing personal and professional development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and one (1) year of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment; or
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in “1” above; and two(2)years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment; or
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience, in which each year of relevant training and/or experience can be substituted for 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university. However, all applicants must at least have a Bachelor’s degree or its educational equivalent.
