Job summary

The University of New Mexico’s Assessment & Learning unit seeks a Coord, Education Support to assist with SP program operations, curricula presentation, material assembly, and training services. The role supports program implementation, administration, and reporting.

Responsibilities include developing SP materials, coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and supporting faculty and staff in educational activities. Regular business hours with potential for some after-hours needs.

Job description

Under general supervision, coordinates and assists with Assessment & Learning's operations and Standardized Patient (SP) program. Assists with presenting curricula, assembles presentations, prepares materials, and supports and/or facilitates classes, workshops, seminars, and other training services. May assist with SP promotional materials, and/or program implementation, administration, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Assists with the design and implementation of all Standardized Patient and student materials for Assessment & Learning's educational program.

2.Writes, edits, and coordinates development of simulation schedules, SP promotional and educational materials, SP training manuals and brochures, SOPs, required job posting documents, and operational tutorials.

3.Schedules, organizes, and facilitates the delivery of SP new hire sessions and other SP educational programming and casting.

4.Develops, maintains and oversees hard copy records, simulation and smartsheet databases on students and SPs, and SP casting tasks.

5.Creates, types, and edits SP program correspondence, SP program handbooks, purchasing and travel documents, SP payroll and casting reports, and other SP program hiring related documents and operational tutorials.

6.Coordinates activities of support staff, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.

7.Organize student and SP/CTA scheduling for A&L and some external clients in their educational programs.

8.Coordinate and supports basic technology guidance to students and SPs.

9.Performs or shepherds clerical and administrative support tasks, including answering telephones, assisting and resolving problems and inquiries of staff, faculty, students, SPs, and visitors, reviewing and organizing incoming and outgoing correspondence, orders and purchases projects supplies and materials for the curriculum.

10.Collects and analyzes data; prepares schedules and special reports; maintains program/project records and statistical information for simulation, payroll, and other data requested by supervisor .

11.Organizes space and facilities usage as appropriate for clinical skills, OSCEs, trainings and any operational needs.

12.Oversite of all Standardized Patient Payroll process.

13.May monitor, reconcile, and assist with fiscal administration for A&L, including but not limited to budgets, funding, contracts, payroll, SP Tier increases, travel, and/or purchasing as appropriate.

14.May provide administrative assistance with faculty and/or staff searches, as appropriate, to include logging CTA and SP employment applications, preparing applicant acknowledgements and interview documents, coordinating interview logistics and search documentation; HR SP hire and separation tasks.

15.Coordinates and assists set-up and break down of activities support by A&L.

16.May travel to other relevant community venues, as required, in support of curricular activities.

17.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements
