Job summary

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.
  • Detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, ordering, reconciliations, with University of New Mexico’s reconciliation program, Chrome River.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings, guestspeakers, and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to information requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars; coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Purchase supplies and materials; attend meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Assist with programs and other department projects as directed by management.

Admin Assistant 2

The Preventive Medicine Section, within theDepartment of Internal Medicine, is seeking a flexible, outgoing, professionalindividual with excellent computer and communication skills to support thePreventive Medicine Residency Program.

The Administrative Assistant 2, reporting directly to ourProgram Manager, will help support faculty, residents, medical students, andstaff. This dynamic role involves customer service tasks such as responding toinformation requests, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, coordinatingactivities and travel arrangements, purchasing supplies and materials,attending meetings, preparing minutes, assisting with the UNM HEaRT Program;and assisting with other projects as determined by the needs of thedepartment’s management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clear and concisecommunication skills to establish and maintain positive working relationshipswith various stakeholders.

The hired individual will work Monday through Friday, 8am to5pm with no weekends scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience making travel arrangements, preparingitineraries, and preparing reimbursements
  • Team player with the ability to also be resourceful andwork effective independently
