Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a Cook to assist the Chef or General Manager by preparing, cooking, and serving food. The role focuses on following recipes and daily menus while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include operating stations, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring economical meal preparation. The position requires basic English literacy and a willingness to work hands-on in a hotel, park, or client-site dining environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary knowledge required.
• Food Safety certification and strong sanitation habits.
• Excellent customer service abilities; assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate them to management.
• Partial High School education required; HS diploma/G.E.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
• Operate food station, including station checklist, temperature log, counter meeting, and signage.
• Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances based on estimates of future needs.
• Monitor menus and spending to ensure meals are prepared economically.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them to your manager.
