Job summary

West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab in Detroit is seeking a dedicated kitchen teammate to prepare meals, review menus with the Dietary Director, and ensure portions and sanitation compliance for residents.

The role requires at least 1 year in food service, ServSafe certification, and strong customer service, teamwork, and reliability. Full-time with rotating day shifts and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Basic computer skills are expected.
• At least 1 year of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and review menus with the Dietary Director.
• Ensure meals are prepared per portion control, sanitary regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with dietary team to provide high quality meals.

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of foodservice and the best culinary experience is provided at all times.

They work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn: $17.85 to start

• Starting wages $17.00 per hour!

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:
