Job summary

NexCare Health in Holt, MI is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nourishing meals for residents, work with the Dietary Director to review menus, and ensure portions and safety procedures meet standards.

This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ($16.00–$21.00 base, plus $0.85 hero pay), yearly increases, and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition reimbursement, medical, PTO, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menus and portion controls.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Director to review menus and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of foodservice and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn: $16.85 - $21.85 depending on exp!

• Starting Wages: $16.00 - 21 .00 based on experience

We can work with your scheduling needs:

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
