West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab in Detroit, MI is seeking a Cook to join our EPIC Award Winning team. You will prepare nourishing meals for residents and work with the Dietary Director to review menus, ensuring portion control and sanitary standards.

The role is full-time with day shifts, rotating weekends and some holidays. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour, with increases over time and comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe certified.
• Basic computer skills.
• 1 year of related food experience, preferably in supervisory capacity.
• Excellent customer service skills and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals for residents and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Director to review and adjust menus.
• Ensure meals comply with portion control, sanitary regulations, and policies.

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of foodservice and the best culinary experience is provided at all times.

They work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn: $17.85 to start

• Starting wages $17.00 per hour!

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe certified.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 1 year of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
• You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.
