MGM Resorts International in Biloxi, Mississippi, is seeking a skilled Cook for Jia, our four-diamond Asian Fusion restaurant. In a high-volume, high-standard kitchen you will help bring the menu to life with fast, precise cooking and elegant plating that creates memorable guest experiences. Starting rate is $18.95 an hour.

THE JOB:

As a Cook at Jia, you will bring skill and speed to one of the most dynamic kitchens on property. Our four-diamond Asian Fusion restaurant is known for bold flavors, elegant presentation, and unforgettable guest experiences. You will be at the heart of it all. From intricately plated dishes to fast-paced service, your role helps bring the menu to life. This is a high-volume, high-standard kitchen where every plate tells a story. Step into the spotlight at Jia and cook at the pace of excellence.

THE STARTING RATE:

$18.95 an hour

THE SCHEDULE:

• Swing Shift | Full Time
• 1:00pm (earliest) - 11:00pm (lastest) (Scheduled in 8-hour shifts)
• Off: Wednesday & Thursday
• Must be open and flexible to work outside of the primary schedule based on the business needs

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards.
• Consistently maintain proper stocking, cleanliness, and sanitation of back-of-house areas.
• Ensure guest safety by following proper food handling procedures.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of fine dining culinary techniques
• Practice seafood handling skills and shuck oysters as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Meets the minimum age requirement of 18+ years of age
• Exhibits 2+ years of culinary experience in a line cook setting preferably
• Demonstrates experience on fry, sauté, grill, and other stations around the kitchen
