Sodexo is hiring a Cook I in Michigan for a fast-paced kitchen serving multiple meal periods. You will prepare, portion, and plate a variety of hot and cold dishes while upholding Sodexo’s standards for quality, safety, and presentation.

The role requires reading recipes, following instructions, and maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a high-volume environment. Open availability and varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present hot and cold items according to Sodexo’s culinary standards.
• Follow recipes and product directions, estimate food requirements and maintain production records.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and support kitchen teamwork.
