Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook I at McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens, MI. This part-time position involves preparing and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods across all meal periods, following Sodexo’s culinary standards and safety practices in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will work with a team to ensure high-quality dishes, maintain a clean workstation, and support production planning. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods, with shifts that may vary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and product directions for preparing and serving items.
• Review production and requisition supplies to plan production requirements.
• Significant walking or other mobility is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attend shifts on time and assist with other duties as needed.
