Job summary

Wind Creek Bethlehem is seeking a Cook I to handle basic food preparation, cooking, and storage, while supporting culinary teammates to ensure smooth service. You will follow menus and safety standards, and maintain a professional appearance in a fast-paced environment.

You will read and follow recipes, work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, and demonstrate solid cooking skills. 18+ and eligible to work in the United States are required; PA Gaming license may be needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in any food service establishment preferred.
• Understanding of basic food preparation.
• Ability to read and accurately follow food preparation recipes.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
• Ability to withstand standing, bending, and working in varied environments.
• Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards.
• Must be able to qualify for and obtain any required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Arrive for shift on time and in proper uniform.
• Responsible for cooking duties in assigned food outlet.
• Read and follow all menus as directed by Chef or Sous Chef.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic cooking skills.
• Safely handle kitchen tools and equipment and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Use equipment and systems to complete tasks per safety standards.
• Develop knowledge of PGCB rules and Internal Controls applicable to your position.
• Complete paperwork per Wind Creek Bethlehem standards.
• Understand the Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan and regulations regarding minors and intoxicated persons.
• Provide superior customer service to all customers.
• Adhere to departmental and property policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Communicate effectively in English; both written and spoken.
• Maintain guest-focused interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Maintain neat appearance and customer service standards.
