Join our team as a Cook I at CAMO

Apply now to become part of our incredible kitchen team in Los Angeles! We are seeking a dedicated Cook I to deliver exceptional guest experiences. We also offer a unique tip-sharing scheme, which is uncommon in most restaurants.

Before You Apply

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to specifications before and during service
  • Measure and portion all food items accurately, adhering to quality standards and policies
  • Cook food to proper specifications in a timely manner
  • Utilize kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, pots, pans, ovens, etc.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and storage in compliance with health regulations
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of menu items
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as per checklists
  • Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and stocked
  • Follow health codes and sanitation standards
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Manage waste according to guidelines and record waste appropriately
  • Document all food production activities
  • Complete tasks on prep lists as directed by the manager
  • Label and store products according to standards
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and sorting
  • Clean dishes and sanitize kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Collaborate safely and respectfully with team members
  • Assist with inventory counts when needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook
  • Ability to read recipes and understand abbreviations
  • Capable of handling multiple orders rapidly
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures and directions
  • Basic math skills for recipe calculations
