Job summary

HMSHost in Grand Rapids is seeking a Cook G to prepare cooked foods and run Fry, Flat Top and Pantry stations, including eggs, while communicating with the manager and servers to ensure timely service. This is a non-exempt, full-time role based in a busy kitchen.

You will follow recipes, estimate production, maintain cleanliness, and uphold HACCP food-safety standards; lifting up to 40 pounds and working in a hot kitchen are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience
• Experience in high-volume casual dining preferred
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Knowledge of HACCP standards

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and cook items across Fry, Flat Top, Pantry and eggs
• Estimate food requirements and keep production records
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
• Maintain food safety and HACCP compliance
• Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients
