Island Hospitality is seeking a Cook to join our team in Virginia. You will showcase culinary skills by presenting, preparing, and cooking quality dishes while adhering to brand standards and IHM recipes. flexibility in scheduling is required as guest occupancy varies.

Responsibilities include cooking, plating, receiving orders, and maintaining a stocked, sanitary kitchen. This is a full-time position in a hotel kitchen, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
• Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate all food items on the menu
• Follow brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
• Receive food and beverage orders as needed
• Keep the kitchen well-stocked at all times
• Use ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
• Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after service
