Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Cook at Seattle Airport to prepare cooked foods and operate multiple stations including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. You will communicate ticket times and potential issues to the manager and servers, ensuring the highest quality of service at all times.

This non-exempt position reports to the Store Manager or General Manager depending on local requirements. Must meet safety and sanitation standards daily.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, high-volume casual dining preferred.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry is beneficial.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate with customers.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Frequent handling of knives, utensils, and hot surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and directions.
• Estimate ingredients and production requirements to meet demand.
• Sanitize and maintain clean work stations and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety and HACCP standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure/mix ingredients as needed.
• Stock, date, rotate, and monitor product temperatures.
