Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Cook to prepare a variety of cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry and Egg stations. You will communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers, ensuring high quality service at all times. This is a non-exempt position.

The role requires following recipes, estimating production needs, maintaining sanitation, and operating kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, work experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
• Requires knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares items per directions.
• Estimates food requirements and checks production to plan quantities.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Practices food safety and HACCP standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment and handles ingredients.
• Stocks, dates, rotates and checks product temperatures
