Sodexo at Oregon Institute of Technology is recruiting a full-time Cook I to prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for meals and events, following our culinary standards. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining safety and quality, and supporting a cooperative team.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and 0–2 years of related experience; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and read recipes is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of related food service work preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold foods per standards.
• Follow recipes and product directions for quality and consistency.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and proper food safety practices.
• Assist with inventory, portioning and equipment setup.
• Contribute to a collaborative kitchen team for events and meals.
