Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook I at Wentworth Institute of Technology to prepare and present hot and cold dishes for meals and events. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, following Sodexo culinary standards for quality and safety while maintaining an organized workstation.

The role requires up to 2 years of related experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read recipes and follow instructions precisely. Flexible shifts and benefits are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and reading recipes unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with standards and regulations for quality, presentation and safety.
• Follow recipes and product directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other items.
• Taste, estimate quantities, check production, and plan requisitions for ingredients and supplies.
• Walk/stand for extended periods and move items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation.
• Support other duties as needed across accounts.
