Job summary

Encanterra Country Club is seeking a Cook 2 to join the Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, reading recipes and maintaining high quality plate presentation.

The role reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef and requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. State-of-the-art facilities and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
• Ensure superior service standards meet guest and employee expectations.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and investigate issues as needed.
• Follow daily cleaning checklist to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Read cooking instructions and prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods.
• Carve meats and plate portions with gravies and garnishes.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
