Job summary

Encanterra Country Club in Queen Creek, AZ, is hiring for Cook 1 to join the Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and serve foods, report to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef, and support high guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires one year of cooking experience, a High School diploma, and a valid Food Handlers card. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, holidays, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan after 30 days of service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to think and make independent decisions with sound judgment.
• Self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for decisions.
• Ensure superior service standards for guests and staff.
• Respond to and resolve guest or staff challenges.
• Follow cleaning schedule to maintain sanitary environment.
• Read and apply cooking instructions and recipes.
• Prepare ingredients, soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, casseroles.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam meats and vegetables; adjust oven temps.
• Carve meats and plate servings with gravies and garnishes.
• Other duties as assigned.
