Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle is looking for a Cook to produce prepared foods for the deli, hot bar, soup bar, and other deli stations, while delivering excellent, professional customer service to shoppers. You will follow PCC recipes, ensure department sanitation and safety standards, participate in recipe development and costing, and may supervise other kitchen staff as assigned.

A minimum of 2+ years production cooking experience and a Washington Food Worker Card are required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• 2+ years previous production cooking experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods.
• Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, and lifting 10–40 lbs regularly.
• Washington State Food Worker Card required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
