Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle, WA is seeking a Deli Helper Clerk to deliver friendly customer service at the deli counter and surrounding stations.

You will assist with basic food prep, package deli items, and help keep the deli area clean and safe, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, lifting 10-40 lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service
• Perform basic food preparation in accordance with PCC recipes
• Counter and barista service, when needed during business operating hours
• Dishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areas
• Packaging and retail merchandising
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
• Becomes knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods and prepared foods
