Job summary

Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Staten Island, NY is hiring a part-time cook for our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale cooking and customer service.

You will prepare, bake, and service meals, assist with tray-line service, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness. Certification in healthcare cooking is required, as is a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe or Sodexo) required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods for residents.
• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies as needed.
• Assist with tray-line service during meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.
• Hand wash and sanitize pots and pans.
• Perform related duties as required.
