Job summary

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth, MN is seeking a Cook to join our team. The Cook will prepare, season and cook meals for residents, staff and visitors under the supervision of the Dietary Manager in a busy skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate has 1 year Cook/Dietary Aide experience in long-term care, can read recipes, works well in a team, and follows food safety procedures. Serve Safe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year Cook/Dietary Aide experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong team player with attention to food safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate food inventories
• Prepare the food for residents, staff and visitors
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
• Assist in clean up, kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down of dining areas as needed.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is a Residential Health Care Facility that provides the highest levels of quality care by responding to the rights, needs and concerns of its residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate for this position has previous cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility, enjoys working in a busy environment, and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. Under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Cook will prepare, season and cook food for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate food inventories
