Job summary

Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Queens, NY, is hiring a Cook to join our dietary team. The role offers 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shifts with both full-time and part-time options, at a pay rate of $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to cook and prepare meals independently.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of safe food temperatures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting (preferred).
• Experience preparing meals in large quantities.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of infection control procedures.
