Job summary

Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Staten Island, NY is hiring a part-time cook for our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale cooking and customer service.

You will prepare, bake, and service meals, assist with tray-line service, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness. Certification in healthcare cooking is required, as is a high school diploma.

Qualifications

Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe or Sodexo) required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking.
Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
Must be able to perform physical work.
Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods for residents.
Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies as needed.
Assist with tray-line service during meals.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.
Hand wash and sanitize pots and pans.
Perform related duties as required.
