Job summary

Highpoint Advisors is seeking its first Chief Operating Officer to run the firm day to day from Carmel, IN. You will partner with the CEO, oversee deal execution, marketing and operations, and own finance, people, systems, and processes.

You will standardize engagement processes, ensure consistent client experiences, and build a scalable business while protecting the firm’s culture and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in operations or general management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience leading a small or founder-led firm through growth.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and running a business by the numbers.
• Experience with CRM and pipeline management tools.
• Familiarity with veterinary, dental, or other healthcare practices.
• Clear, steady communication with team members, clients, and outside partners.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to set annual goals, priorities, and the operating plan, then own the execution.
• Oversee deal execution, marketing and communications, and operations to support client work.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with outside accounting partners.
• Lead people operations: hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, compensation planning, and policies.
• Own the firm's systems and tools, including CRM and project management.
