Job summary

Performance Team in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse setting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with conveyors and industrial equipment, can perform routine troubleshooting, and is committed to safety and reliability in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role requires overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience working with conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
