Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Converting Machine Operator to manage production machinery, including setup, operation, cleanup, and process improvements. You will train helpers, cross-train on other machines, and ensure accurate data reporting while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred packaging industry experience and the ability to perform load Former and first helper tasks, plus 6 months in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: packaging industry experience.
• Must be able to perform the load Former and first Helper duties.
• At least 6 months experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train First and Second Helpers with machine duties.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete production and safety reports accurately and timely.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs and be proactive in maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest schedule optimizations.
