Job summary

Marvin is seeking a CEPG Controls Team Supervisor in Fargo, ND to lead and mentor the Controls Technicians while continuing to perform controls work. You will coordinate projects, partner with SCADA, PLC, and database specialists, and ensure on-time delivery of sophisticated automated equipment.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on controls expertise with leadership, strong communication, and a track record of guiding teams to ownership of their work.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong, proactive communication, training, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to create a collaborative team environment and empower others to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations.
• Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns, and resolving problems.
• Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency and production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming issues; recommend preventive maintenance and operational improvements.
• Manage projects and timelines through completion with feedback loops and end-user training.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors to ensure equipment and practices align with Marvin specifications.
