Job summary

Marvin is seeking a CEPG Controls Team Supervisor in Fargo, ND to lead a team of Controls Technicians while continuing to perform controls work. You’ll mentor, coordinate projects, and collaborate with SCADA, PLC, and IT specialists to integrate advanced automated manufacturing equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, leadership, and timely project delivery. A four-year degree and manufacturing project experience are valued, with relocation assistance available for eligible

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of manufacturing software (ICIM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with PLC and operator interface programming languages.
• Familiarity with standard networking technologies and hardware.
• Knowledge of SCADA, automation control systems and related components.
• Knowledge of data communication protocols and operating systems (Windows/Unix/Linux).

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems and Operations.
• Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns and resolving problems.
• Research, analyze, install and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency, advance existing systems and support current and future production demands.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and programming-related equipment and facility issues; recommend preventive maintenance rules and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage projects and timelines through successful completion while maintaining feedback loops and providing end-user training.
• Serve as a liaison with vendors to ensure equipment, panels, wiring, components and practices align with Marvin specs; build cross-functional relationships.
