Job description

What you will do

• Perform HVAC control systems troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, and low‑voltage controls components.
• Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools as well as hand tools, electrical testing meters, and other electronic testing equipment.
• Provide front‑line technical and repair support through effective communication with customers.
• Recommend system repairs or updates and assist in proposing solutions to customers.
• Document change and provide as‑built documentation; maintain all required commissioning records.
• Execute company‑sponsored and personally‑initiated training to keep knowledge and capabilities current.
• Engage with customers to understand their systems and needs; provide recommendations that improve facility efficiency.
• Provide quotes for recommended solutions and upsell opportunities where appropriate.

How you will do it

• Be a dedicated member of the North America Branch team and take responsibility for troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services.
• Use electronic troubleshooting skills and load field and network‑level controller software.
• Perform commissioning and diagnostics for all levels of system controllers and end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.).
• Keep management, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Calibrate systems with basic electronic test equipment.
• Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.
• Follow safety standards and attend required safety training to maintain a high degree of employee and subcontractor safety.

What we look for

• Vocational school program or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field.
• At least three years of industry experience servicing electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro‑mechanical fields.
• Ability to use hand, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
• Solid knowledge base in personal computer use.
• Attention to detail, good communication, and listening skills.

Compensation

Hourly rate ranging from $25.48 to $35.09, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
