Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Electrical/Automated Manufacturing Engineering discipline or related engineering degree
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in automation projects for manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of automation techniques, machine control systems, PLCs, pneumatics and programming
• Experience with RSLogix 5000, Visual Basic and AutoCAD is preferred
• Experience with LabVIEW programming and NI hardware is a plus
• Familiarity with ISO/TS/IATF requirements and safety standards would help
• Ability to work on several issues simultaneously and under pressure
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Support specifying HMI/software features and manufacturing equipment
• Design electrical/control wiring schematics on CAD
• Design control logic and schematics, including ladder/relay logic
• Program PLCs (RSLogix 5000) and test with Factory Talk View
• Develop and maintain data collection and database interfaces
• Coordinate with MIS on industrial computers and hardware
• Lead start-up, debugging and trouble shooting of new lines
• Improve processes with Kaizen to reduce WIP, downtime and waste
• Provide training to Maintenance Automation Technicians
