Job summary
Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a Controls Engineer for their southwest suburban Atlanta manufacturing facility. The role involves troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment, with responsibilities spanning from design to FAT documentation.
The engineer will collaborate across departments to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime of stamping, zinc die casting, plating/finishing, and assembly processes, while leading
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years with related work experience and/or training.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC environment and industrial controls.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems.
- Lead or support projects from initiation through completion.
- Improve equipment safety, efficiency, and uptime.
- Maintain documentation and FAT as required.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA and safety standards.
