Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer for our southwest Atlanta metro manufacturing facility.

You will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen Bradley PLC environment. Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, machine programming, and leading manufacturing projects from initiation through completion.

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.

Responsibilities

Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and continuous improvement.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment from 24V to 480V including fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
Provide controls engineering expertise for projects: technical consultation, component and equipment specification, electrical circuit design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, troubleshooting.
Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal departments and external partners.
Prepare and maintain technical reports and FAT-related documentation and energy/process optimization.
Ensure safety compliance with OHSA, EHS, and applicable regulations.
