Job summary
Daifuku North America seeks an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of conveyors, sortation, automated storage, order fulfillment, and robotic systems. You will develop specifications, device layout drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic, working with senior engineers to meet product requirements and timelines.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, has experience with Allen-Bradley control software, and understands industrial automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in the material handling industry.
- Experience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design.
- Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools.
- Knowledge of electrical and safety codes and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and meet market needs.
- Collaborate with the development team to create robust products.
- Ensure designs fit with current and future manufacturing operations.
- Develop PLC programs and control schematics.
- Prepare schematics and specifications for panel fabrication.
- Support prototype development and on-site beta testing.
- Travel up to 60% in North America, mostly within the continental United States.
