Daifuku North America is seeking an engineer to develop new material handling products, including conveyors, sortation, storage, and robotics. The role involves creating specifications, layout drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic, with collaboration across the engineering team to meet product requirements.

You will work closely with the team to design standard offerings, ensure manufacturability, and apply creativity to solutions. Some travel within North America is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design.
• Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine and equipment design including risk assessments.

Responsabilités

• Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with development team to review and refine products.
• Ensure product designs fit with current and future manufacturing operations and cost constraints.
• Develop PLC programs and control schematics for systems.
• Prepare schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication and testing.
• Perform prototype development and on-site beta testing to verify safety and reliability.
