Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop new material handling products, including conveyors, sortation, and robotic systems. You will design specifications, create layout drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic, collaborating with a team to meet product requirements and standards.

You will work with seasoned engineers, maintain schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Experience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design.
Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools.
Knowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine design.
Knowledge of industrial automation systems, including HMI and SCADA.
Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and meet customer needs.
Collaborate with development team to create new products.
Ensure products fit with current and future manufacturing operations.
Ensure products meet performance and cost targets.
Develop PLC programs.
Prepare schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication.
Maintain product development schedules and cost estimates.
Follow engineering standards and revision control practices.
Perform prototype development and testing.
On-site beta testing to verify safety and reliability.
Travel up to 60% in North America.
