Job summary

Körber Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design and deploy control systems for material handling. You will program and commission PLC code, develop HMIs, and verify functionality on test benches before on-site deployment.

The role requires Rockwell GuardLogix and Siemens TIA Portal experience, with travel up to 40% and a hybrid work schedule at specified U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field with 5+ years in material handling, or 3+ years with a Master's.
• Proven experience with Rockwell Automation PLC programming (GuardLogix) and Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy control systems, program and commission PLC code, and validate software before deployment.
• Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical systems during on-site commissioning and testing.
• Collaborate to define electrical device requirements and design control network architecture.
• Support cost estimates and monitor design cost alignment with budgets.
• Execute software quality processes through module and system testing.
• Contribute recommendations to improve productivity and reduce costs.
