Job summary

Körber is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design and deploy control systems for material handling projects, program PLCs (Rockwell GuardLogix) and Siemens TIA Portal, and develop HMIs. You will test code and troubleshoot on-site while collaborating with Electrical Engineering on network architecture and device requirements.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering with 5 years of experience (or 3 years with a Master), strong communication, cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Electrical/Controls) or equivalent with 5 years (or 3 years with a Master) in material handling
• Rockwell PLC experience including GuardLogix and Siemens TIA Portal experience
• Ethernet/IP network architecture experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform HMI programming
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 40%

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy control systems, program PLCs, develop HMIs, and validate code before deployment
• Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical systems during on-site commissioning and testing
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering on device requirements and network design
• Contribute to cost and resource estimates for module development and commissioning
• Execute software quality processes through testing at module, subsystem, and system levels
• Develop recommendations to improve productivity and customer satisfaction
