Job summary

Körber is seeking a Controls Engineer II in the Atlanta metropolitan area for hybrid work. You will design and deploy control systems, program PLCs, develop HMIs, and validate software before deployment. The role requires strong PLC experience, system testing, and collaboration with electrical engineering teams.

Travel up to 40% is possible, with three days per week in the office. Be part of a global leader in end-to-end supply chain automation with a strong focus on productivity and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience, or Master’s with 3 years.
• Experience with Rockwell PLC programming (GuardLogix) and Siemens TIA Portal (Starter).
• Experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture and HMI programming.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy control systems, program and commission PLC code, develop HMIs.
• Validate code functionality off-site and on-site during testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to define device requirements and network architecture.
• Contribute to cost estimates and monitor design costs against budgets.
• Execute software quality processes through tests at module, subsystem, and system levels.
• Develop recommendations to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
