Job summary

Körber is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design and deploy control systems for material handling projects. You will program PLCs, develop HMIs, and validate code before deployment, with on-site testing and troubleshooting as required.

You will collaborate with Electrical Engineering to define device requirements, assist with network architecture, and contribute to project estimates and budgets while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Controls Engineering with 5 years in material handling, or 3 years with Master’s.
• Experience with GuardLogix and Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP networks and interpreting electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy control systems, including PLC programming, GUI development, and validation prior to deployment.
• Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical systems during on-site commissioning.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to define device requirements and review standards.
• Contribute to cost/resource estimates for module development and commissioning activities.
• Execute software quality processes through test procedures at module to system level.
• Develop recommendations to enhance productivity and reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
