Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC seeks a Controls Engineer II to own the full lifecycle of automation projects from concept through on-site commissioning. The role requires electrical design expertise, software architecture skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Travel up to 15% is anticipated to support system integration at customer facilities. Responsibilities include designing control architectures, integrating robotics and vision systems, debugging, and providing on-site startup and handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years designing, building and programming custom industrial automation systems.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06 electrical codes.
• Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms required; proficiency with Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
• Competent in AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Design and program control architectures using PLCs and HMI for complex machines.
• Integrate robots, vision systems, VFDs, and servo applications into control logic.
• Configure network interfaces across DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus and Profinet.
• Create electrical panels, diagrams, and BOMs with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Lead on-site commissioning and provide customer support during handover and training.
