Management Performance Associates seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer II to lead the full engineering lifecycle for custom automation projects. You will design control architectures, program PLCs, integrate robotics, and validate systems through on-site commissioning at customer facilities.

The role requires strong electrical design and software architecture skills, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years designing, building, and programming automation systems.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA 79 and RIA TR R15.06 codes.
• Proficiency with Rockwell/AB platforms; other platforms preferred but not required.
• AutoCAD Electrical competency is required.
• Experience with major robots is highly desired; not mandatory.
• Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Design and programming of control architectures using PLCs/HMIs.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, and drives into control logic.
• Configure networks (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
• Create electrical schematics and BOMs in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop robot paths and offline programming for integration.
• Lead engineering standards, code libraries, and review specifications.
• Coordinate system integration, debugging, and commissioning on-site.
• Provide on-site startup, training, and system handover documentation.
• Perform safety assessments and ensure compliant interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
