Job summary
Accounting Search seeks a Controls Engineer II to own the full engineering lifecycle for custom automation and process control systems. You will drive projects from concept through programming, debugging, and on-site commissioning, requiring strong electrical design and software architecture skills and adherence to safety protocols.
The role involves cross-functional collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and occasional domestic/international travel up to 15%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
- 5+ years designing, building, and programming automation systems.
- Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06.
- Rockwell/AB platforms required; others preferred.
- AutoCAD Electrical competency.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement control architectures using PLCs and HMIs.
- Integrate robotics, vision systems, drives, and servo applications.
- Program and troubleshoot network interfaces (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
- Create electrical schematics, layouts, and BOMs with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Develop robot paths and offline programming for deployment.
