Job summary
Jennmar Automation, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer II to lead the full engineering lifecycle of custom automation and process control systems. This role covers concept validation, programming, system integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning, requiring strong electrical design and software architecture skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent practical industry experience).
- 5+ years of direct industry experience designing, building, and programming custom industrial automation systems.
- Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06 electrical codes.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
- Competence in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Utilize PLCs and HMIs to build machine control software architectures.
- Integrate robotics, vision systems, drives, and servo applications into control logic.
- Design electrical panels and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Provide on-site startup, commissioning, and client handover documentation.
- Conduct safety assessments and mentor junior controls engineers.
