Job summary

Quantum Default Brand is seeking an experienced Senior Inventory Accountant to drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, owning end-to-end inventory accounting under US GAAP.

The role partners with Supply Chain, Operations, FP&A, and the Shared Service Center to ensure accurate reconciliations, effective controls, and timely reporting. CPA and 7–10 years in public company accounting are required.

Qualifications

• CPA required (active license).
• Big 4 public accounting experience required.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in a public company (SEC registrant) environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across inventory accounting (costing, valuation, reserves), revenue recognition (ASC 606) including SSP methodology and deferred revenue, and general financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile GL to subledgers and source systems, and identify root causes of variances.
• Experience working with or overseeing a Shared Service Center (SSC) or similar outsourced/offshore accounting operation.
• Strong ERP systems experience (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or similar); proficiency with large Excel datasets and SQL or similar tools.
• Proven ability to operate independently, drive projects to closure, and communicate clearly with finance leadership, peers, and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Drive a disciplined close: monthly, quarterly, and annual; identify bottlenecks.
• Own inventory accounting end-to-end: costing, valuation, reserves, and period-end reconciliations.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and FP&A on cycle counts, inventory variance analysis.
• Coordinate close deliverables with SSC; review reconciliations and journal entries; ensure consistent accounting treatment.
• Review and approve inventory-related journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory trends; identify risk areas and drive resolution.
• Standardize recurring reconciliations and reporting packages.
• Identify and implement ERP/configuration improvements to reduce manual work.
• Serve as SME on revenue recognition (ASC 606), SSP methodology, deferred revenue; support technical accounting memos.
• Support external audits related to inventory and other technical accounting areas.
