Job summary

Covenant HR LLC is seeking a Senior Inventory Accounting Analyst for a remote US-based role. The candidate will own complex inventory accounting across multiple models, perform reconciliations and month-end close, and drive process improvements with automation and AI tools.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in inventory accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with NetSuite (or SAP/Oracle). Collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, and IT is essential for scalable controls.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4–7 years of inventory accounting or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; ERP experience (NetSuite preferred; SAP/Oracle also relevant).
• Experience with SBT, consignment, virtual and in-transit inventory models.
• Ability to drive automation and AI-enabled improvements; mentor junior analysts.

Responsibilities

• Own complex inventory accounting activities across multiple models (SBT, consignment, warehouse, virtual, in-transit).
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, roll-forwards, capitalized freight schedules, and month-end close deliverables.
• Analyze inventory shrink, reserves, discrepancies, and corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Perform valuation and costing analyses for accurate financial reporting and controls.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to optimize inventory management.
• Coordinate third-party physical counts and resolve discrepancies with operations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and external providers.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support reconciliation reviews.
• Identify and implement automation and AI-driven improvements to scale processes.
