Job summary

SNI is partnering with a high-growth 75+ lawyer law firm to appoint a Controller who will lead accounting and finance across 9+ offices. This is a visible leadership role overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, trust accounting, and firm-wide operations.

The position offers a fully remote (EST) schedule, unlimited PTO, and a strong package with base salary plus bonus and LTIs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Controller/finance leadership experience in a law firm or professional services.
• Aderant, SQL/SSRS, legal billing, and trust accounting expertise required.
• Experience overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for a multi-office organization.
• Strong GAAP, financial analysis, Excel/ERP, and partner/attorney-facing communication skills.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA/MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function for a multi-office law firm.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Manage trust accounting and law firm financial operations.
• Communicate with partners and attorneys to explain financial performance.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional who can take ownership of financial reporting, trust accounting, budgeting, and firm-wide financial operations across 9+ offices. This comes with a fully remote (EST) schedule, Unlimited PTO, and a strong monetary package that consists of a base + bonus and potential LTIs.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior Controller/finance leadership experience in a law firm or professional service
• Aderant, SQL/SSRS, legal billing, and trust accounting expertise required.
• Experience overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for a multi-office organization.
• Strong GAAP, financial analysis, Excel/ERP, and partner/attorney-facing communication skills.
