Job summary

Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady LLP is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the firm's financial operations, including trust accounting, client billing, and firm-wide financial reporting. The role requires expertise with Aderant and a strong background in law firm finance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting while partnering with firm leadership, delivering accurate statements, dashboards, and KPIs to support executive decisions

Qualifications

• Law firm accounting and trust accounting knowledge required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Hands-on experience with Aderant required.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multi-office firms.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and trust accounting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to firm leadership and partners.
• Develop financial metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to evaluate firm performance.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, realization rates, utilization rates, and working capital.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting activities.
